Weekly Homework Routines

Monday-Vocabulary Skills: 3x5 Vocabulary/Analogy Cards-Complete front-side only. Complete one analogy card tonight. (note: You will be given an analogy then you must create your own and show their relationship). Please remember to record all completed analogy pairs in the vocabulary journal.

Tuesday-Vocabulary Skills: Complete the top-back portion of the 3x5 cards include: the vocabulary word, the pronunciation key, the language of origin, the part of speech and a relevant definition.

Wednesday-Vocabulary Skills: Add Synonyms and Antonyms. Complete 2 Analogy cards (Note: one is given and a second analogy is one you make up on your own and you must also show the relationship; then, show an……. example of how the words relate to each other).

Thursday- Study/prepare for the vocabulary test – TBA.

Friday-Vocabulary Skills: Add Sentences to the 3x5 vocabulary cards and then label your sentences using the Shurley English Grammar labels. Then complete two (2) analogy cards. Note: all ten (10) cards are due on the following Monday.

Note: Please note all classwork (CW) assignments not completed in class should be completed at home. Please review and check all journals nightly to observe completed/graded assignments; because all assignments receiving 80% and below require a parents signature.
